Audio Editing
Audio editing is becoming easier and smarter in Premiere, thanks to AI. One-click voice quality improvements with Enhance Audio, Remix to extend or reduce music tracks and auto-recognition of audio types are just some ways AI makes working easier in Premiere Pro.
June 2024 Updates
Automatic Audio Tagging
AI automatically recognizes if clips are Dialogue, Music, SFX, or Ambiance and adds a new interactive badge. Just click for instant access to the most relevant tools for that audio type in the Essential Sound panel.
Bulk Delete Speakers for Faster Cleanup
Thanks to AI's ability to recognize different voices in a clip, you can now select all dialogue by a particular speaker in the transcript and choose to bulk delete it from the video quickly. It facilitates the removal of any irrelevant dialogue from your timeline, such as interviewers or other off-camera conversations in unscripted content.

Other Updates of Note
Premiere Pro Speech-to-Text
The Captions workspace consists of the Text panel (including the Transcript and Captions tabs). You auto-transcribe (thanks to AI) your video in the Transcript tab, and then generate your captions, which you can edit in the Captions tab and in the Program Monitor. Captions have their own track on the timeline. Stylize your captions with the design tools in the Essential Graphics panel.
Auto-transcribe on Import
The easiest and fastest way to create captions is to start with a transcript of your video. While importing your media, you can enable Automatic transcription under Import settings.
Text-Based Editing
Text-Based Editing in Premiere Pro is an entirely new way of editing that makes creating rough cuts as simple as copying and pasting text.
Announced at MAX 2023, you can now delete all pauses with a single click, work with multi-channel audio files, and get more control over your transcript view.
